The same version of the program will run on your iMac. You need to copy the application and your data file. The Quicken 2016 application lives in your Applications folder. Your data file lives in either Quicken's default location or anywhere else you might have moved it, but the easiest thing is to make a backup -- which is compressed and protected -- and move that.
Launch Quicken 2016 on the MacBook Pro and do File > Save a Backup. You can save the backup on your desktop temporarily. Now, you need to move the backup data file and the application. You can do this by copying them to a flash drive, or by turning on File Sharing on one of the Macs so you can copy directly form one machine to the other. (For instance, on the MacBook Pro, go to System Preferences > Sharing and enable File Sharing. On the iMac, do Go > Connect to Server, click Browse, and double-click on the MacBook Pro. Copy the files to the iMacs desktop, then you can turn off file sharing.) Move the Quicken application into the iMac Applications folder; move the backup where you want your Quicken file to live, such as your Documents folder. Double click on the backup, Quicken will launch, and you should be up and running.

As you may be aware, Quicken 2016 is now an unsupported product. You can keep using it, of course; you just can't download transactions, and you don't get free support. but you can keep using it as you have been somewhat indefinitely.
As Quicken continues to advance the Quicken Mac product and Apple continues to annually update the Mac operating system, there will likely come a point where you'd need to purchase a new version of Quicken to run on the latest macOS. Also, the Quicken import/update code may only extend back a few years, so eventually you'll be at risk of not being able to import your Quicken 2016 data file into the then-current Quicken Mac. Neither of these is a concern for you today; Quicken 2016 should continue to work fine for manual data entry. I just mention it because we do see users who post on this site from time to time asking how to update a 10 year-old, 15 year-old or older version of Quicken, and their path is sometimes difficult and/or expensive -- so don't wait that long before you update your Quicken periodically. (Note that with the Quicken subscriptions that began with the 2018 product, it's intended to be a recurring annual payment, but you do have the ability to let the subscription lapse after a year and use Quicken just as you are doing now with 2016.)
