I'm recommending Mazinkaiser SKL to the fans of The Lost Canvas and vice versa, not because of plot similarities or theme, but because of the production quality, both of these OVA are wonderfully displayed in bright colors and extremelly well detailed drawings, animation is perfect as well, sound top notch as well, and theres actually some similiarities in the character designs, especially the faces. So if you looking for short top notch anime with high level of production, dive in these, you won't regret it.

Arion and Saint Seiya are both wonderful adventurous animes based on the Greco-Roman mythology, with similar animation. I'm glad I found Arion in this website as it is really rare, definitely not a masterpiece, but very entertaining.
